The person/s or organisation hiring this Inflatable equipment will be responsible/liable for any damage or injury occurring from or as a result of misuse or reckless use.
These guidelines are for the safety of all people using this equipment, and it is the sole responsibility of the hirer to ensure they are fully adhered to at all times.
Groovy Bounce cannot accept any responsibility for any injury caused to anyone using this equipment.
I am aware that whilst in Groovy Bounce’s care we are fully responsible for the inflatable.
Please ensure that the following safety instructions are followed:
1) All Units have an age limit and a maximum user height. Please ensure no-one over this age uses the equipment.
2) No food, drinks or gum shall be allowed on the equipment. (Please note that if the equipment is collected in a dirty condition, the hirer will incur a cleaning charge).
3) All persons shall remove their shoes, badges, jewellery prior to use. It is recommended that glasses are also removed.
4) No party-poppers, coloured streamers or “silly string” must be used near or on the inflatable, as they can permanently stain the unit.
5) No person(s) shall be permitted to partake whilst under the influence of alcohol, drugs &/or any other intoxicating substance. Smoking near the inflatable is not permitted.
6) Climbing, hanging, or sitting on the walls is DANGEROUS and must not be allowed.
7) The use of the equipment will at ALL times be supervised by a responsible person aged 18 or over, who is not under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
8) Ensure that the inflatable is not overcrowded, and limit the numbers depending on age and size of children using it. If the children are colliding into each other then it is too crowded.
9) Avoid large children and small children from using the inflatable at the same time. Some children require strict supervision.
10) Any damage deemed to be malicious or through misuse will be charged against the hirer.
11) Do not allow anyone to bounce on the step/front apron. The step is there to help users get on and off.
12) Ensure that no-one with a history of back/neck problems are allowed on the inflatable. Do not allow children with medical conditions that place them at risk of injury to use the castle e.g. – Brittle Bone Disease or temporary injuries etc.
13) Do not allow users to be on the unit during inflation or deflation.
14) In the event of heavy rain, everyone must be removed from the inflatable and not re-enter until the rain stops and inflatable is dried, it is strongly recommended that the inflatable be left on to stop water entering. Any wetness, including bubbling can be dried with a towel. In the event of high winds, the inflatable should be deflated (24mph or higher).
15) In the event that the blower overheats, or loses power, switch the blower off at the mains, and then switch it back on again 1 or 2 minutes later, and it should restart. If it does not, or there is a power cut, inform us IMMEDIATELY.
16) Ensure that the vent on the side of the blower is kept clear at all times.
17) If you are unsure about anything, please contact us.
18) All equipment must be used/operated in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and recommendations, including any limitations with regards to height and age.
It is your responsibility to check if the Bouncy Castles/Inflatables will fit. Please check the sizes of the equipment and clearances required before delivery.

1. The soft play equipment has an age limit of 5 years old. Please ensure that no one over this age uses the equipment. No adults are to use this equipment.
2. No food, drinks or chewing gum to be allowed on or near any of the soft play equipment. (Please note that if the equipment is collected in a dirty condition, the hirer will incur a cleaning charge).
3. All shoes, jewellery and badges MUST be removed before using the equipment.
4.For hygiene purposes, socks must be worn at all times on the equipment.
5. No party poppers, coloured streamers, bubbles or silly string to be used either on or near the equipment.
6.A responsible adult over the age of 18 must supervise the equipment at all times.
7.Always ensure that the soft play equipment is not overcrowded, and limit numbers according to the age and size of the children using it. Try to avoid large and small Children from using at the same time.
8.Ensure that children are not pushing, colliding, fighting, or behaving in a manner likely to injure or cause distress to others.
9.No sharp instruments are allowed on the equipment.
10. Do not allow anyone to jump from the tops of the play equipment or steps.
11.Ensure that no-one with a history of back or neck problems is allowed on the equipment, or indeed any Child that is feeling unwell.
12. The equipment should not be used if it becomes wet, as the surfaces may become slippery.
13.If soiling of the equipment does occur, the hirer is responsible for cleaning the equipment using ONLY water.
14.The Ball Pool should be limited to no more than 5 children at any one time.
15.Although the soft play equipment and balls from the Ball Pool are cleaned after every event, it is recommended that supervising adults discourage children from placing balls in their mouths for hygiene purposes.
16.Particular care should be taken when younger children and toddlers are exiting the Ball Pool to ensure no accidents occur. Diving/Jumping into or standing on the side of the Ball Pool MUST NOT be allowed by anyone.
17.Soft Play equipment must not be thrown and Ball Pool balls should not be removed once set up.
18. There must be no smoking on or near the soft play equipment.
19.Children must not stand on the seats of the bouncy animals.
20.It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure once set up, due care and attention is given to avoid damage to the soft play equipment and injury to its users.
21.Soft Play equipment must not be removed from the area in which it was set up in.
22.It is your responsibility to check if the soft play will fit. Please check the sizes of the equipment and clearances required before delivery.
Please ensure that the following Safety Instructions are followed:
1. Face painting is suitable for children over 3 years old. 2 year olds can have a small design on their hand/arm only. Under 2s cannot be painted.
2. We cannot paint anyone who appears to have a skin disorder, open wound, cold sores, conjunctivitis etc.
3. Face paint should be removed with soap, water and a face cloth within 8 hours and should not be worn overnight.
4. Do not remove face paint with baby wipes; this can cause staining on the skin and sometimes reaction.
5. Some colours may linger on the skin, do not scrub, simply allow the face to settle and repeat the removal procedure.
6. Face paint should not be worn for long periods in the sun, it has no protection.
7. Face paints can, on rare occasions, cause an allergic reaction. If your child has not had their face painted before we recommend a patch test, please speak to the team to arrange this. A patch test will be monitored after 60 minutes to check for a reaction.
8. All paints comply with EU and FDA regulations.
9. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times; we cannot take responsibility for children standing in the queue and they can be refused painting without an adult
